Drake Bay River View is nestled in a secluded forested area of Drake Bay in the Osa Peninsula. Because of its proximity to Corcovado National Park, wildlife is abundant in the area, and around the property. The Agujitas river encases the grounds, making for the perfect location for those seeking a deep and immersive experience with nature.
Drake Bay River View is a true eco lodge paradise designed and created by the talented Costa Rican painter, Karol McQuade. Inspired by the lush nature of Drake Bay, every corner of the hotel is a work of art in itself. From Karol’s original paintings adorning the walls to the careful selection of sustainable materials, this place immerses you in an ambiance of serenity and beauty. Drake Bay River View was born from an idea that it is a gift to be able to connect people with nature in a way that minimally impacts the delicate ecosystem.
Drake Bay River View offers both a luxurious and sustainable experience. We take great pride in our ability to minimize the impact our accomodations have on the environment.Â
 By having a minimal carbon footprint, we are able to reduce energy usage which plays a big part in protecting the planet.Â
Our two glamping tents and apartment run completely on solar energy, allowing us to be completely off-grid.
We have our own water source on the property, allowing us to pull water directly from the property.
We also use water-saving toilets that reduce water consumption.
We encourage our guests to use reusable bottles whenever possible. When there is waste, we try to recycle or repurpose it.
